Since we moved to Austin, my husband and I have been in full on explore mode. The 100-degree weather is not too helpful, but that doesn't deter us from our usual date nights. I've been filling my closet with easy linen tops and pants, and simple dresses that don't cling to the body. I partnered with Ann Taylor to put together this fun date-night outfit, and opted for this super versatile lace Halter mini dress. It's the perfect little dress to take on summer vacations, wear to brunch, picnics, and other fun summer activities.
We went for a few drinks before catching up with our friends. And since the summer days are so long in Texas, and 7pm looks like 2pm, I kept it simple with the earrings, and played with colorful accessories. It was the first dress I I picked up because it's also a great piece to transition from day to night, and the playful halter cut at the shoulders makes it easy to play with access fun earrings. I also love the lace detail, which adds fun texture to an otherwise basic dress. Little white dresses are the perfect summer base to experiment with pops of color, wearing sneakers with dresses, and showing off your new hair color!
I plan on making this dress a staple for the rest of summer. I will accessorize with a headwrap or wide brimmed hat, and throw on some comfy slides for a more casual, fun look.
