What I wore to… A wedding in Chicago

We attended a beautiful wedding in Chicago with lots of twinkly lights, a gorgeous bride, and equally beautiful bridesmaids. The ladies (wedding guests) had flat sandals waiting for them in a basket in case their feet got too tired from dancing too much. There were sparklers for the send off, a log book, and small plants to take home. The hors d’oeuvres were scrumptious, and the music was one of the best I’ve heard at a wedding.

Since the ceremony and the reception had a 4 hour break between them. I understood it meant I needed to wear two dresses for the occasion. Of course, you all know I love color! So naturally, I chose an old bright green dress I’ve had in my closet for over 2 years I scored at a thrift store in the East Village, and a coral little number a dear friend of mine gave me recently. I’ve admired it in her closet for such a long time, and she finally gave in and told me to keep it! I wore both dresses with sparkly nude BCBG heels to packing simple.

Did I mention the bride was gorgeous? (Some professional photos I’ve stolen.)

Love love love these colours on you! And can’t believe they were both such bargains. Great job :)
