Style post: The little black leather skirt

January 21, 2013 by findingpaola

The little black leather skirt is one of the most versatile items in my closet. I have two, and I wear them like most people would wear jeans. I think they go with everything. From beautiful silk blouses, to white button ups, to t-shirts, you name it. On this foggy day, I decided to wear mine with a white button up, and an old vest I purchased at a thrift store, a long time ago. I thought my half sheer, […]

Style Post: Chic winter color-blocking

January 15, 2013 by findingpaola

Back to the conversation at hand.. I’ve been wearing this coat to work a lot lately and recently paired it with my super fun knit Vince Camuto dress, and stripe stockings for a simple and chic look. The dress is perfect for work and would fit right in for after work cocktails or date night. I like the belt it comes with to accentuate the waist line, and all the buttons in the front make it fun. You can unbutton the […]

Saturday Brunch Party at Lavo

January 11, 2013 by findingpaola

I went to a 4pm dance party at Lavo last Saturday. I decided to wear something easy, fun, and comfy to dance in. Nothing fits the deal more than a good cropped top and high-waisted pants! I decided on soft pink lips since I’ve been stuck on red, burgundy and hot pink lately, and a somewhat bold cat-eye for a little bit of retro pop Pao! The friend who invited me called the event “brunch”, but if someone blind folded […]

Style post: A little bit of Loveliness

January 8, 2013 by findingpaola

This post features some my current favorites:  Vince Camuto Verona Velvet (good girl) heels, Chanel mocha blush I received for Christmas, Chanel black satin nail polish, BCBGMaxAzria back seam tights, and my Harlem photo book.  I wanted to go for something a little girly that day. Something that showed the power of chicness and subtlety. I really like bold accessories, but sometimes I like to tone it down at bit. I died for […]

Quality time

May 15, 2012 by findingpaola

I knew Mother’s Day was going to be epic from the way the day started. I overslept so I knew I was already running late. I got dressed rapidly, barely thinking about what I was going to wear. I grabbed a burgundy sheer dress I purchased for the fall last year from my closet and threw it on. I really love clothes I can just wear throughout many seasons. I decided to pair it with  light colored belt and shoes since the dress is already […]

Gwar! One crazy time.

May 2, 2012 by findingpaola

If you asked me what I did this past weekend… OK, even if you didn’t ask, I would tell you anyway. My boyfriend woke me up at the crack of dawn Saturday with one thing in mind– book sale! From the moment he picked me up the night before, he wouldn’t stop raving about how excited he was about this book fair where you can fill a brown bag with whatever books you find for just five dollars. He actually didn’t get me […]

Light colored trousers

April 18, 2012 by findingpaola

Cream colored trousers are a great item to have for the spring/summer season. I wore this outfit to work with lower heels, but it could easily be worn to a show, or dinner. The blouse was purchased for no more than $8 at the Buffalo Exchange in East Village. I love this place! I always come out with gems. I would be there a lot more often if it wasn’t so out of the way. Shirt: Trift, Pans: Forever 21, […]
