What happens when the lovely weather fairy blesses you with a beautiful fall day? You take full advantage of it, that what! Last Sunday was not only sunny, it was warm enough to go outside without a coat. Everything was so colorful and vibrant. I wore an outfit that matched the picturesque fall foliage to attack the day. I figured that day was going to be all about knits! Well, that’s mostly because that’s what I packed anyway since knits don’t really wrinkle, and they’re easy to fold away. I opted for a beige sweater dress, burgundy sweater, mustard knit hat, blue stockings, tan knee-high flat boots, and my fabulous faux-fur scarf I recently purchased. I’m just in love with the fall color palette! Can someone please tell me to stop adding burgundy to my wardrobe? It’s getting out of control.
That day I had a delightful vegetarian lunch with Tyler and his family that inspired all of my lunches this week. We spent a good amount of time walking, enjoying all of what the weather fairy had to offer. It looked like all the parks were packed with people who were also enjoying the weather. Men played outdoor basket-ball. Families walked their dogs. College kids played frisbee, while others caught up with their readings. Everyone was just having a good time on a beautiful, sunny Sunday.
In the fall, it’s never really too warm for hot chocolate. It’s the one time of the year, I drink the most amount of milk. Not only do I have the ingredients to make delightful hot sipping chocolate, I will also buy some when I’m out if the place looks promising enough. Nothing is more disappointing than spending over $4 on a cup of chocolate to have taste average at best though. It’s like… C’mon guys, where’s all the chocolate?! It isn’t called hot milk, it’s called hot chocolate for a reason! So yea… Chocolate rant over.
