This post features some my current favorites: Vince Camuto Verona Velvet (good girl) heels, Chanel mocha blush I received for Christmas, Chanel black satin nail polish, BCBGMaxAzria back seam tights, and my Harlem photo book. I wanted to go for something a little girly that day. Something that showed the power of chicness and subtlety. I really like bold accessories, but sometimes I like to tone it down at bit.
I died for these shoes when I saw them at the store because they’re probably something I wouldn’t normally buy. There are so many things I adore in stores, but never walk away with because when I purchase something I intend on wearing it for many occasions. They’re so simple, yet so eye-catching. So girly and oh so lovely. I think because of the material they can’t be worn to work or used for everyday tasks, but who knows? It’s New York- people wear sequins and everything in between during the day. And I think they’re too pretty to go dancing. They’re formal enough, but casual enough, and still I couldn’t think of one outfit or occasion for them. I joked that I’d wear them to have tea time with the first lady, or I guess I can be more realistic and go out for a nice cocktail when I’m feeling fancy with them. Aren’t those BCBG tights to die for? I noticed they were on sale during Christmas time, and purchased 3 pairs. Then noticed Macy’s had the same style but different brand for half the sale price of the BCBG ones and bought another 4 pairs. I’m just obsessed at how simple and chic they are. I also think they are incredibly sexy. Ow!
The yellow dress was a little cheap thing I grabbed at a random store, but I think the accessories chosen give it a little boost. I didn’t intend for both my belt and shoes to have bows on them, it just turned out that way. So I wore lace , bows and pink lips that day. Talk about girly!
