#NYFW Mataano Spring/Summer 2013

On Tuesday, I told my colleagues I’d be back in a few hours, and hopped on the train to the Mataano Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show. I arrived all sweaty after realizing I miscalculated my timing and I would be late. To my surprise, two of my favorite models were part of the show! I was so happy to see Diandra whom I met through my friend Abby and  shot with previously for a 4ACES shoot, and Cecily Lopez, a young black model I’ve admired since I laid eyes on her on the Italian Vogue all black issue.

Aissata looked fabulous as usual in white and snake printed heels. The outfit I had on was my work outfit of the day. Sadly, I didn’t get time to change. The show was beautiful — the twins definitely put work into the collection featuring pastel and bright colors. I love how everything had a clean-cut to it. There was a cocktail/hors d’oeuvres reception hosted by celebrity chef Roblé to follow. I was able to spend some time talking to other bloggers, models and stylists. And of course, Aissata worked the floor being the social butterfly that she is. Such a fun night. It’s too bad I couldn’t go to the Muse Model after party, I had a desk full of papers to return to.

I’ve got more pictures on my FLICKR. Also be sure to stop by Aissata’s blog for more!

    Beautiful pics!
Sometimes I so badly wish I lived in NYC, even just for such events always taking place. It’s not difficult to understand why it’s the biggest magnet in US for people from everywhere.

I love it here! I guess it’s obvious since I have a blog kind of dedicated to living here. Have you ever visited? Not everyone likes NY, it’s either you love it or you hate it I guess. My dad says NYC is for crazy people, and I belong there. Haha
