My studio apartment (room divider)

Everyone knows that space is expensive in New York City. I had my choice between a one bedroom and a studio while selecting my apartment and chose the studio. I liked the open feel of everything, and I thought if decorated well, it will be much cozier and more charming than the one bedroom. It was also cheaper!

My studio apartment is basically one “large” room. It has an open kitchen, and a very comfortably sized bathroom. I absolutely love it because I have it all to myself and I can do whatever I please to it. Right now I’m in the process of decorating it to my liking. Getting a few things here and there to transform it into the space I really want.

My newest addition is the delightful Ikea Expedit Bookcase. I decided to use it as a room divider and smart storage unit. It looks much more amazing than I imagined, and I’m extremely excited to have it. I bought it to have just a bit privacy of my bed while keeping the apartment open at the same time. It adds a certain depth to the place, and make it look even a bit bigger!

What a fantastic result!

I’ll come back showing a few more changes I made the space. I had the chance to rearrange some furniture and organize some things. Goodbye old, shaky bookcase. You won’t be missed!

Until next time…
