I was thrilled to attend Makeda‘s art exhibit in Chelsea this past Thursday. After a fun-filled day of cooking with Nadege and shooting the new face of Fanm Djanm for June, I was ready for some amazing art and champagne. I met the artist at Gessica’s “Vizaj Nou” documentary premier a few weeks back, and I felt her amazing energy right away. Her art is vibrant, warm, and colorful! Just like her.
Going to art gallery openings used to be one of my favorite things to do every Thursday when I first moved to New York. Being there brought back so many fun memories, and I think I may just pick that little past time up again. I’ve been all about comfort lately so I chose a laid back look with a twist by wearing high dressy metallic heels with an oversized vintage jumpsuit. I added African was fabric to the color and knee of the piece to give it a little Fanm Djanm flair. The red purse and lips were added for a pop of color. Then, I finished the look with one of my new favorite headwraps from the collection, “Animal Kingdom”.
