It’s been spring for a week now, but it’s still winter. Seriously, the wind almost knocked me down the other day, and you could only imagine how I’m feeling. If the weather was a human being and cared about my emotions, I would give her the biggest side eye right now. Anyway, I met up with this lovely young lady yesterday who works at my favorite boutique in Harlem, and she was as colorful as ever! Just seeing her made me ridiculously happy. I just wanted to hug her, and bring her along with me everywhere. Her haircut is to die for, and check out that smile! Also, doesn’t she remind you of Lupita just a tiny bit?!

Describe your personal style: I’m simple and quirky. I like mixing different things together. I don’t mind mixing prints and colors. Even if colors don’t go together, they don’t have to match… I just like putting cute stuff together to just express how I feel. Even if I’m wearing all black, I wear one thing of color to be bright.
Interesting fact about you: Before I sleep every night, I like to pretend that I live in an utopian world where all dreams come true. It just makes me feel better. When I wake up the next day, whatever it is I’m doing, it’s all for a greater cause.
Your favorite thing about Harlem: Personally I live in the Bronx, but I go to school and work in Harlem. I love how Harlem is such a big community. I feel like everyone’s part of a family. Locals are always stopping in the shop just to say hello. I don’t even know who my neighbors are in my building, but it’s different in Harlem. Everyone seems friendly. I would love to live here too.
