Family, ring, champagne, and balloons

These are some celebration photos already posted in instagram. Tyler’s sister, brother and wife all drove up from Boston to surprise us. We had a great celebratory lunch in Norwich Inn (all planned by my future mother-in-law) after our return from the great trip (which you’ll read a lot about by the way!). Tyler’s sister had some giant colorful balloons waiting for us. She sure knows me! And in the evening, we celebrated some more. I’m a lucky girl.

The ring was designed by my fiance and made by a local jeweler in Hanover, New Hampshire. I love local businesses, and it makes it even more special that I can always go visit the man who made the ring. I was told he has quite an interesting story, so I can’t wait to hear some of it when we go get our wedding bands made. My fiance settled on a classic cut that reminded him of the “Eiffel Tour,” he says. He knows it’s my favorite attraction, and I loved listening to his thought process throughout the whole thing.
