Christmas Tree in Harlem

Fiance and I already have a tradition. We get our Christmas Tree in Harlem, right on Frederick Douglas and 121st. Adam is the name of our Christmas Tree guy, and this is his third year selling trees in Harlem. He’s originally from VT, where Fiance is also from. This time around, we decided to spend less on our tree. We got a little $20 tree without much life on it really, but we got a tree. Now our apartment smells like Christmas, which is really one of the best things in the world! I saved decorations from two years ago, including some candy canes I never ate, which Fiance forbids me to eat. It’s OK because on our way back, we stopped by Levain and purchased two amazing cookies. We popped open a bottle of wine, and we decorated our little ugly tree. We went back and forth with the music because I wanted authentic Christmas music, and when I wasn’t listening, he would put on some Trans Siberian Orchestra. I’m happy I got a chance to get a tree this year because I’ve either been exhausted or working too much. I hope you’re having a terrific holiday season!

Love the geoprint tights! Your little Charlie Brown tree is cute! And the candy canes are probably still good although I am really weird about old stuff like fiance. I just hate it when things are stale. I can’t imagine candy canes go bad though. Tis the season! Thanks for sharing!
