Lower Manhattan Jump!

July 22, 2012 by findingpaola

Lauren and I stopped at Wall Street for the Charging Bull, World Trade Center for formally the  Freedom Tower  (now known as 1WTC), National Museum of the American Indian, and City Hall. An Israeli tourist joined us for the Charging Bull jumps. Lauren and I absolutely love this part of our jumping project, we get to meet so many people! At first we used to ask complete strangers to take our jumping photos, now we just ask them to join […]

Battery Park Jump!

July 20, 2012 by findingpaola

Battery Park, located just next to South Ferry on the southern end of Manhattan, faces the New York Harbor. It provides a great view of the Statue of Liberty, and many boats come and leave from the waterfront to transport visitors to the monument. Lauren and I finally jumped Battery Park. It was a wonderful cloudy day, and it wasn’t too hot. We jumped in front of the sphere, which was once located at the center of the plaza of […]

Alice in Wonderland, The Lake, Cleopatra’s Needle, and Met Jump!

December 5, 2011 by findingpaola

Cleopatra’s Needle is the oldest man-made monument in Central Park, made in 1500BC. I was glad to see the other one when I visit London so I decided to include it in the jump! It took 112 days to bring the 244-ton granite monument from Egypt to New York City. It’s just spectacular! The Alice in Wonderland statue has been in Central Park since 1959. It was commissioned by George Delacorte, made for the children in the park. Being a […]

What are your fall colors?

December 1, 2011 by findingpaola

My fall colors are burgundy, beige, brown, burnt orange, black, and teal. I am loving this fall season! You can layer and mix and match a whole bunch of colors together to make fall wardrobe your very own. I actually wore this outfit without thinking. It wasn’t until I was looking at the pictures, I realized everything I wore was Forever 21, with the exception of my Anne Klein tights and knee-highs (yes, shoes included). It’s funny I don’t really […]

Strawberry Fields, Bethesda Fountain Jump!

November 28, 2011 by findingpaola

It may look like we’re just jumping on a regular lawn surrounded by beautiful fall trees, but nothing could be more wrong my friend. Right behind us, you will notice a large group of people. We were jumping (quietly of course) at Strawberry Fields, a designated Quiet Zone of the park visited by people from all over the world to observe the living memorial of John Lennon. This peaceful section of the park was named after one of The Beatles’ […]

Jump File Columbus Circle (Revisited)

November 21, 2011 by findingpaola

Our fall jumps are mainly in Central Park because we wanted to capture the beautiful fall season NYC has to offer. We decided to include Columbus Circle although we’ve jumped there before because it’s so close to the park, and there are so many cool angles we can jump from! It’s definitely a location, we’ll keep going back to. As you notice, Lauren (my usual jumping partner) is not in these pictures, but Sarita was awesome to jump with! It […]

Morningside Park Jump!

November 19, 2011 by findingpaola

The fall season in New York City is simply amazing. The fall foliage could not be any more beautiful. I decided to continue the Jump Project mainly focusing on the beautiful fall leaves. This set is shot in Morningside Park by Alejandro Cerdena. Look out for other ones in some of my FAVORITE places in Central Park!   Jumping for life. Jumping for love. Jumping for beauty. Jumping for nothing at all.
