I did it again. If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you’re probably familiar with these posts. I wake up, look around, and get tired of what I see. And since I can’t afford new stuff (yet), I switch everything around. My fiance is usually not around when I do this, but this time he witnessed the madness. When I told him I would move the bed entirely from one side of the room to the other, he didn’t think I could pull it off. He was even worried that if he came in to help, he would just be in my way because I’m extremely aggressive when I have an idea in mind. I want it done as fast as possible, and I want to see results right away. So everyone stand back!
So, keep in mind, I’m in love with my neighborhood and studio apartment. And I’ve always lived there alone, so now I’m sharing the space with the love of my life, so I have to compromise some things. I was happy to get a clothing rack from the container store for about $60 to display some pretty clothes since I gave up about one third of my closet space. I used my clothes as part of the decor and something for people to look at when they come in. Right now I’ve switched the clothes in these pictures to clothes I’d like to sell and get rid of, but you get the point.
I purchased this fantastic dress form from Amazon to photograph the clothes I’d like to sell, and it turns out that it matches my bedding! I’ve moved my mirrors around and hung them on the closets so the room appears bigger. The only drawback in this arrangement is that my guests don’t get as good of a view as they used to since my bed is now where my couch used to be. Other than that, I’m loving it! I’m just missing a few pieces de resistance, and by that I mean a curtain. My next apartment post will be about storage and how I organize my belongings because for someone who doesn’t have much, I sure have a lot of crap that I love dearly. (If you know what I mean).
