Here’s the thing about “4c” hair. The kinkiest of them all. The hardest to keep moisturized at them all. The roughest and toughest of them all. 4c hair with the right products and techniques can be just as fun and versatile as all the other curl patterns and hair textures out there. And no, you don’t have to have long hair to achieve easy, fun and classic styles!

You can sport a kinky fro without having to twist it the night before, and it’s still beautiful in its shrunken state. You can decide to two strand, two strand flat-twist, or bantu-knot them as styles or take the twists out for a different afro look. Then, you can pin, tuck, and do whatever you want with it because it really is that awesome.

Hair products used in these styles are: Pomad Kreyol by Kreyol Essense, Super Buttercreme by Donna Marie, and Haitian Castor oil by Kreyole Essence.

your hair looks beautiful to me. My granddaughter has the same type of hair as you. It keeps the hair styles for a long time when wrapped at night if not just have to brush around the edges. My question is what is this kreyol essence pomade that you mentioned? i know a lot of pomade that was used in Haiti like sulfur 8, bergamot etc. is this something different?

Inspired to start wearing my hair out. By the way what is the lip color in the first pic? Love it!

Thank you! I’m trying to keep things interesting, so I’ll be trying more styles although it’s limiting because my hair is not very long.
