On Thursday, October 25, 2012, I collaborated with rena Reborn, one of my favorite little thrift stores in the East Village, for a “shop and mingle” event. My intention was to invite a few friends and anyone who was interested to drink wine, talk, and play dress up. I was hoping for a laid-back atmosphere where everyone could have fun, try on something they liked, and maybe even make a few great purchases. The event also had a raffle where one lucky attendee would win a $25 gift certificate for instant shopping fun if they pleased!

I would like to thank everyone who stopped by. The event and turnout were fantastic. I loved the small crowds and conversations between new and old friends. Rachael, the co-owner was great to work with. She’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met! I also finally met up with a dear friend I haven’t seen since I left Haiti at the event. You can only imagine how exciting everything was for me. I am definitely thinking of hosting another one in the future. So, stay tuned!
