Paola… Lost in New York City

bright fall days

I love me a good sunny fall day. A day warm enough I can wear layers, but still go outside without having to wearing leggings or pants. That day was not that day. Yes, it was extremely bright and sunny, but once I got on the roof, after two minutes, I was forced to run in my apartment to wear some pants. I also love wearing bright colors even in the fall. I read somewhere that real New Yorkers just wear black, especially in the fall/winter seasons. I do have plenty of neutral and dark colors in my wardrobe, but give me a bright color any day! I have no desire to be perceived as dark and mysterious. Not one bit! My usual fall colors include: burgundy, mustard yellow, and burnt orange. This year, I’ve added red and royal blue to the mix.

Tyler’s brother and wife visited the weekend before last, and we had a great time in Harlem. Our goal was to take them to our new favorite eatery, Jin Ramen, and after much convincing, we made it there! Our little group spent time playing games, cooking, and hanging out. On Sunday, the boys went to play basket-ball, and the girls went to yoga. I love weekends like this-  spending real quality time with friends and family.

aw brothers!

Dr. Drake hula hooping. The most ungraceful hula hooper in the whole world. Maybe Tyler is… But it’s pretty close.

    • Thank you! I don’t wear makeup everyday so when I do I always make sure to take time to blend everything out! I think the key is to have a good foundation, and everything else follows. :)
