I’m not really sure if you’ve noticed, but I have an obsession with vintage clothing. It’s really hard to describe my style because it varies so much depending on my mood. But if one had to ask, I would say it is a combination of classic, vintage, afrocentric, and just plain ol’ comfortable. I hardly ever go for “sexy” or “bold”. Although I have a few bold pieces because I love color, I never go shopping with the intention of getting them. I do love a statement necklace, a patterned top, and a bright neon green dress on occasion.
I put on this outfit for work last week without really thinking, and also partly because I didn’t pick up my dry-cleaning so I didn’t have many desired options. I’ve never worn this top buttoned all the way up, but I love it that way. I also like the way the necklace falls on it. I have a few tops similar to this one, so I’ll try to wear them more that way with different necklaces to see how that works o ut. I got called everything from Janelle Monae to “Mrs. Huxtable” that day. My coworker looked up and asked me why I looked like I just stepped out of a 90′s tv show. Pretty hilarious work day.
Hair pinned in the back, ‘fro in the front. Shirt and pants purchased at different vintage/thrift shops in the city. Belt is from a thrift store too. Steve Madden shoes. Media lipstick by MAC because it’s my go-to fall lip color.

No, but I definitely felt the sarcasm. Haha. Can you send me your email? Gracias!
