Paola… Lost in New York City

fall weekend style: florals, feathers, and leather

Early fall is amazing to me when it comes to my personal style. I love wearing jackets and blazers without feeling too warm or too cold. The fall season, especially in its early stages, is fun to play with layers and different types of accessories. Around this time, I’m still wearing my head wraps, but I’m also including fun hats in my outfits. I’ve been told that I have a “hat head”, I’m not sure what it means, but I take it as compliment because I just love them. I can picture myself having a pretty impressive collection when I get older and can afford all sorts of vintage ones. I like brown ones, red ones, black ones, round ones, oval ones, just hats of all kinds!

I went for walk in Harlem with my boyfriend for lunch. Actually when  my boyfriend woke up, one of the first things he proposed was that we get lunch at Jin Ramen. I live close to Morningside Park, so we did a nice mid-day romantic walk around it. Everything looked so saturated with color. The dead leaves on the ground were extra brown, and the leaves on the trees were super green. There was a family style event happening where some children were riding real ponies around in the park, while a creepy magician on a stage, trying to keep the attention of others. Just another perfect, beautiful day in Harlem.

The pants were purchased at thrift store in the Upper West Side. Hat: H&M; Jacket: store in soho (purchased 3 years ago for very cheap); Boots: Dolce Vita; Top: Bodysuit from American Apparel.

I snapped this quick shot of Tyler, my boyfriend and often blog photographer. He’s very tolerable with my various shenanigans. The only rule is: no picture before he eats.

    • Thank you, Meghan! I love the warm colors of fall. It also took a lot to get a regular picture of my boyfriend. While I’m like, “Picture!? Sure!” *twirl, smile, spin.* He’s like, “Picture?! ARGH!” *weird twitchy eye, grimace, attack.* Haha.

  1. Awesome pics as always!! That’s great that he does the photography and contributes to your shenanigans lol. I imagine you both having a great time doing it. Continue blessed
