Sparkly dresses and shoes were all lined up. Make-up artists took over the corners in the room with the most lights. Models sat around waiting for the show to begin. A couple of them tried to study through all the noise and everything happening. And I was able to speak with most of them, and of course take some photos.
Pamela Quinzi, the young Italian designer was showing her Kilame collection during Fashion Week in Parlor, a lounge in Soho. My friend Giuseppe, a good friend of hers told me about it just the week before, and I got pulled in to participate. I never say no to these types of adventures. Lights. Camera. And walk! It was really fun, some friends came to watch the show, and I got to make some more.
I had so much fun this year during Fashion week, but it was so tiring. I have a full-time job, and it was tricky trying to balance both lifestyles. I found myself running from work to shows, and getting back home really late. I’m happy to get back to get back to my regular schedule, but I hope I get more show invitations next season. I will also not turn down offers to participate in the smaller shows. It’s all fun for me!

Beautiful photos! While I have my own arts, the photography of fashion and beauty is one of my favorites to just simply enjoy seeing. You, that dress, and that sofa look so perfect together there could be an entire photo session/set.
Continue blessed!
Haha, it could’ve been a photo session if the walls were so dirty.O_O Looking back at the pictures, I was like, “whoa! what a mess!” Thanks for the kind words though, Gyption. That was the last thing I did during fashion week, and I was so happy that I was done with all those shenanigans. Going to them is clearly easier because you don’t have to be there 5 hours before, just sitting around, so yea!
Amen to that Gyption!
Hey there, I love your blog!!! Do you know how long I’ve been looking for a Haitian blogger??? Let’s just say “bien longtemp” http://ysiishowroom.blogspot.com/
Hey there. Thank you so much for stopping by! I’ve been looking to get a Haitian following for a while too. Most of my friends aren’t Haitian, although it’s nice to have them around, I think it’s even more special to me to have people who share my background read about my adventures. I checked out your blog too. It’s really cool! Please feel free to share my blog with other fellow Haitians. Kenbe la. <3
