Figment is one of my all time favorite NYC events. The two-day event takes place on Governor’s island, and only happens once a year. This was my third time going, and the tradition is to go on the second day. I’ve always been lucky to go with people as energetic and imaginative as me. As expected, Figment did not disappoint! The idea is to enjoy the art and be part of it. I always feel like I’ve stepped into a completely different world on my return trip to Manhattan. It’s as if everything that happened on that day was a wonderful illusion.
As usual I hula hooped, danced, and rolled around on the grass. I ate cherries, I joined the drum circle and I jumped around. I dressed for the humid weather and was prepared to get rained on, although that did not happen. I also decided to wear my awesome purple wig because I’m an avid believer of making as many use of something when I buy it, and I figured Figment would be a great opportunity to wear it again!
After Figment, we spent some time in Battery Park to watch the sunset. It was a phenomenal day!
