Why I love Bryant Park

May 31, 2012 by findingpaola

On Wednesday night after work, I darted east across 40th street—at least as far as my legs and four-inch heels could take me in an attempt to catch Manhattanhenge. I didn’t make it past Bryant Park, but I walked up two more blocks to 42nd Street and looked in the direction of the sunset for what was supposed to be an amazing view. Unfortunately, there was really nothing much to see. A very mean cloud ruined the show by covering […]

Just cruisin’

May 30, 2012 by findingpaola

For Memorial Day weekend, Tyler and I had a fabulous time in Newport, Rhode Island. We attended one of his friend’s wedding he’s known since the fifth grade. He’s been a very popular guy this year, I tell ya. In the past three months, he has been a groomsman for two of three weddings he attended. I got to see him give another great speech at the rehearsal dinner– happy that he didn’t say anything inappropriate. Tell me if this […]

Shake ya groove thing!

May 23, 2012 by findingpaola

Last Sunday, after a horrible day in traffic, sore legs and tired feet from a very eventful night in Philly, I was excited to get back home to start the preparations for Abby’s 70′s themed party on my roof. As soon as I heard her talking about a laid-back atmosphere and possible theme, I volunteered to host! Everyone knows I’m a sucker for themes and dressing up. I really had no idea what I was going to wear, then I remembered I […]

Coral for work

May 22, 2012 by findingpaola

It was so beautiful and sunny last Friday, I wore my favorite spring color to match my mood, Coral! I know it’s my color because it compliments all shades of brown skin so perfectly. It’s girly and fun, and who doesn’t like that combination? I get lots of compliments for this dress, but it was only purchased for $15 at a random store in Harlem. I wish I also got the yellow and the royal blue. It’s the kind of dress […]

The ‘fro

May 17, 2012 by findingpaola

It’s obvious that I recently removed my super awesome “Poetic Justice” braids. How I wore my hair to work yesterday. How I wore my hair after work. Click here for the full post.

Working hard

May 17, 2012 by findingpaola

I love my job for many reasons. The number one reason is that my co-workers are crazy/ awesome/fun and weird… like me! These pictures happened for no reason. We were just working, and Anna started doing weird things, so naturally we joined in.

Quality time

May 15, 2012 by findingpaola

I knew Mother’s Day was going to be epic from the way the day started. I overslept so I knew I was already running late. I got dressed rapidly, barely thinking about what I was going to wear. I grabbed a burgundy sheer dress I purchased for the fall last year from my closet and threw it on. I really love clothes I can just wear throughout many seasons. I decided to pair it with  light colored belt and shoes since the dress is already […]

red hat, red lips

May 9, 2012 by findingpaola

We know it’s spring, but the cold weather has not completely disappeared. Most days are cloudy, rainy, and/or extremely windy. It’s still safe to layer with a blazer and accessorize with different hats that normally wouldn’t be safe for the hot seasons. I’m actually loving it!  Warm enough to show some legs, but cool enough to layer. I wore my favorite hat on Saturday to bring life to my otherwise very bland outfit on my way to a cinco de mayo fiesta. I also decided […]
