Paola… Lost in New York City

Negro

I love wearing black on black outfits. But what I really love is wearing all black with bright accessories and bold lips.

It was an easy Sunday. I was going for a nice neighborhood walk, and pulled out a black tank top and pants from my closet. I really just wanted to be simple and throw on some flat shoes; however, after tying my head wrap, I decided to do a full makeup application. Sometimes, I do things without thinking, and when I was done, I just knew I just had to throw on some heels. It’s funny because during my short walk, I ran into a couple of people I knew and haven’t seen in a long time. I’m happy I didn’t just go outside in a horrible state. That usually happens to me. I always run into people when I’m running errands or coming from the gym. Talk about worst timing.

I’ve been trying to wear the clothes in my closet I don’t wear very often to refrain from shopping “too” much. Living in New York City is not really an excuse to go shopping all the time, but a girl has to look presentable. And seeing giant posters that spell out the words, “sale”, “clearance”, “50% off!” is helping either. Right?

My head wrap is from the African Market I usually get my fabrics from on 116th street between Lennox and 5th Avenue. The tank top is from J Crew, pants and blazer are from H&M, shoes were purchased at Urban Outfitters.

I’ve been experimenting with some Chanel foundations I received from Christmas. They’re amazing! I may do a video about them in the near future. The gel liner is my absolute favorite from Mac, and the lipstick is Promiscuous by MatteseElite.
