Paola… Lost in New York City

A run in Central Park

Kyle and I went running two Sundays ago. It was the first time I went running outside in the winter. I always thought people were crazy whenever I saw them jogging by in 30 degree weather.

The run happened after a big drinking night. I wanted to do something healthy, and Kyle agreed to join. It was a very windy day, but the air was crisp. It was also very sunny, which warmed us up as we kept running. Everything in Central Park shone and looked so beautiful as we ran.

The running paths were not very crowded. It was easy to run at our own pace. Central Park runners could get a little competitive, so I was happy I didn’t have to try to pass anyone. We ran a total of 4 miles, maybe less. I felt that the cold definitely slowed us down a bit.
