Paola… Lost in New York City

Le Chapeau Rouge

Red is my favorite color, and I was told once that I have a head for hats. Not sure exactly what that means, but I don’t mind it since I adore hats. I love hats of all shapes, styles, and colors!

Sunday was a fairly easy, relaxing day. After my jog in Central Park and laundry, I just kicked back a bit. I typically have Ella Fitzgerald or old French songs playing in my apartment, so one of Edith Piaf’s songs put me in the mood to dress up.

When my boyfriend got home his basketball game, my face was all made-up, which confused him. Yesterday reminded me of the times I used to play dress-up in my mother’s clothes. While applying the make-up, I couldn’t help but smile at the once little Paola who would get in trouble all the time for ruining my mom’s makeup and other cosmetic products.  I managed to persuade my to take some pictures and videos of me before the sunset.

Later on, we drank wine, and munched on apples and cheese, while I pretended I was in Paris.

  1. I love red too and that is why I named my company Le Chapeau Rouge in 1994. I wore red hats since I was a child living in Paris, have always loved red, my mother dressed me in red..I think she knew! I think more women should wear red ! its a passionate color and makes a statement! Bravo for the color red!
