Strawberry Fields, Bethesda Fountain Jump!

November 28, 2011 by findingpaola

It may look like we’re just jumping on a regular lawn surrounded by beautiful fall trees, but nothing could be more wrong my friend. Right behind us, you will notice a large group of people. We were jumping (quietly of course) at Strawberry Fields, a designated Quiet Zone of the park visited by people from all over the world to observe the living memorial of John Lennon. This peaceful section of the park was named after one of The Beatles’ […]

What am I thankful for?

November 24, 2011 by findingpaola

I am thankful for love, both received and given. Health, full bellies, and smiling faces everywhere. Hard-working men and women who make a difference in everyone’s daily life. I am thankful for light and warmth. Life and every beautiful thing in it.  And finally I am thankful for my family, friends, and job. I am from Haiti, we do not celebrate Thanksgiving, but I think one of the most important things that lead to happiness is gratitude. What are you […]

November 23, 2011 by findingpaola

Sara and Paola jump with the horses in Central Park The Pond in Central Park      We started at the southest end of the park. I remembered how beautiful The Pond is, and there is not a time I go there, it doesn’t catch my breath, so I decided to included in our Fall Jumps.   Stay tuned for more sweet jumps!   If you haven’t watched our video yet, watch it:       All photos by Alejandro […]

Jump File Columbus Circle (Revisited)

November 21, 2011 by findingpaola

Our fall jumps are mainly in Central Park because we wanted to capture the beautiful fall season NYC has to offer. We decided to include Columbus Circle although we’ve jumped there before because it’s so close to the park, and there are so many cool angles we can jump from! It’s definitely a location, we’ll keep going back to. As you notice, Lauren (my usual jumping partner) is not in these pictures, but Sarita was awesome to jump with! It […]

Morningside Park Jump!

November 19, 2011 by findingpaola

The fall season in New York City is simply amazing. The fall foliage could not be any more beautiful. I decided to continue the Jump Project mainly focusing on the beautiful fall leaves. This set is shot in Morningside Park by Alejandro Cerdena. Look out for other ones in some of my FAVORITE places in Central Park!   Jumping for life. Jumping for love. Jumping for beauty. Jumping for nothing at all.

Under the moonlight

November 17, 2011 by findingpaola

I’ve always wanted to go on a romantic walk in Central Park. I always pictured it would happen in the summer. I pictured us walking past the horses, and loud groups of people. Past statues and fountains. Around the boathouse. I pictured us occasionally sitting down, and me running to climb something I shouldn’t be climbing. I pictured us dancing under the moonlight, and hugging each other. I went on that walk last Monday. It was after dinner on the […]

Sitting on Syringes

November 16, 2011 by findingpaola

A friend invited me out to an art show in Brooklyn last Friday. I’m always looking for new things to do, and without much knowledge of what the show would entail, I made my way there staring at the bright half moon the whole time. The event 11.11.11 (eleven cubed) happened in one of the most striking apartments I’ve ever set foot in New York City. From the very tall ceilings, to the open kitchen, the large bedroom and open […]

Tyler’s surprise birthday party!

November 15, 2011 by findingpaola

I’ve been counting down to Tyler’s birthday two weeks before my own 25th birthday. I wanted to plan something special for his 30th, and I decided to surprise him! The day finally came which was a relief because it’s really hard for me to hide things from him. There was one day I acted really suspicious and I thought I blew it all. Thankfully, he has been really busy with work, which made him oblivious to all of my really […]
