My first night of Halloween celebration started this past Friday. A show girl, a leopard and the devil herself bounced around to different parties and bars. We started in the West Village and ended up in MeatPacking Distrikt. I know, I know, I really didn’t want to end up in MePa this halloween, but it was actually not as crowded and miserable as I anticipated. I had room to dance, and that’s all that matters. I had a very […]
I got out of work before 6pm, and it was already dark out. New York City was cold, windy and rainy. I was walking slower than usual with strong hateful thoughts of the weather, which ended in a deep daydream session. My thoughts were interrupted by, “Hey, can I share your umbrella?” The question was followed by a deep chuckle. I slowly turned around and looked at the interrupter right in the eye and responded, “Get under, the umbrella is […]
I made this video last night talking about what my Halloween costume will be. I spoke just like I would if I were speaking with friends. A little drama, an awful accent at times, and of course funny faces. There’s a snippet of my little fabric shopping adventure in the video. By the way, the shoes above are what I wore during my fabric hunt, and they’re currently my favorite flats! Enjoy!
If I ever live in Paris, I will make sure to have a picnic with unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower every day for three consecutive months. I assume this routine would last longer than the time predicted, but no less than three. I will make sure not to bring more than one bottle of wine because our picnics along the Seine last year always turned into arguments. Now that I think about the arguments, they seem very silly to […]
Now that I think about it, we really couldn’t have picked a better time to go to London. We were really lucky with the way autumn treated us. The changing color of the leaves really added to my overall experience. It added a certain spice to things. The third day in London, we got on the train for a day out of the city. We decided to visit the amazing Windsor Castle. Besides the obvious decadence that splashed in every […]
We tried to use our three-day London pass as best we could. Our first day was filled with different attractions and new discoveries, and the second day was no different. We started the day by cruising on the Thames River where we sailed under London’s most famous Bridges. From the Waterloo Bridge (also known as the Ladies’ Bridge because it was constructed by mostly females) to the Tower Bridge, our eyes bulged out of our heads as we passed the […]
We arrived in London around 8PM on October 10th. We quickly got rid of our baggage, and strolled the neighborhood, on the hunt for dinner. We found a decent curry place and devoured our meal. We needed a full belly and a good night’s sleep because we had a lot of exploring to do the next day. We picked up our 3-day London passes on Regent Street and started our adventure from there. Trafalgar Square was our very first […]
We left at the break of dawn towards a day that would be filled with too many emotions. We made it to South Ferry, the very bottom of Manhattan at sunrise, surrounded by Marathoners before the long walk. We were to walk east with the rise of the sun, reach the top by midday, catch the sunset on the west, and make it back to the bottom at night. We planned at least 12 hours for that adventure, and I won’t […]
