4aces shoot: retro decade

4aces shoot: retro decade

August 30, 2011 by findingpaola

The talented ladies of 4ACES decided to include me in one of their projects. They planned a photoshoot about different eras, and did all the styling between them. When I heard that one of the most talented and beautiful models I’ve ever laid eyes on would be part of the project, I was both ecstatic and extremely nervous. The whole shoot turned out to be just fun amongst friends. Diandra was angel, and although it was hard to ignore her rare beauty, she […]

work lunch and happy hour

August 26, 2011 by findingpaola

Sara (or Sarita) is my co-worker and occasional lunch buddy. We usually bring home-made lunches, or go to Maoz or Chop’t for lunch when we want to eat out. Both Maoz and Chop’t are healthy alternatives to fast food chains. While Chop’t offers a variety of salads with fresh ingredients, Maoz caters to the vegetarian crowd, with falafels, hummus, and eggplant sandwiches in pita breads. Both places are loved in our office because they both fill us up on a […]

dancing in the office

August 24, 2011 by findingpaola

Sometimes, an office should not be stuffy and boring. It should be open to fun and bubbles! Open to laughter and dancing! Open to Paola and all of her craziness! Video of me and my colleagues, dancing with our bubble guns. This was after 5;30, right before we headed home, so don’t you think we slack off at the job! Signing off… The Bubble Master

Lunch in Bryant Park

August 23, 2011 by findingpaola

Summer’s ending.  The days are slowly but surely getting shorter.  The subtle morning breeze mocks me and reminds me that fall is near. Being a sunshine child, born and raised in Haiti, I’m dreading the days I have to layer up. I do enjoy the nice fall jackets, and boots, but they only represent the coming of winter, no matter how fashionable and chic they look. I’m the girl who has no problem wearing just a tank top and short […]

after work, there’s play

August 22, 2011 by findingpaola

After work, I usually play. I go out for drinks with colleagues, old friends or new friends. Some days, I run straight home to hula, or dance by myself in my apartment. On the health conscious days, I go for a run. Other times, I go browse thrift stores. No matter what I end up doing, I make sure there is a little bit of play. Playing is fun. It activates my body and spirit, and I find that’s what […]

Stupid dance moves

August 21, 2011 by findingpaola

Another silly video by yours truly. Although Auguste pretended not to enjoy doing these series with me, she was having a blast! I made sure she  ate that same night.

From Harlem to Upper East Side

August 17, 2011 by findingpaola

Alex and I went to the MET. We walked from Harlem to the Upper East Side. We chose one of my favorite walks, and started on the west side of Central Park north. We walked through the North Woods and ended up in the Conservatory Garden. We adored the flowers and the beautiful branches that formed romantic arches around the park. There were butterflies and pretty birds everywhere on that sunny day.   I wore one of my favorite wardrobe […]

Beauty: Jessica

August 10, 2011 by findingpaola

Her personality is bigger than her hair. This makes sense because everyone knows her by the hair. She has a beautiful wide smile, to match her positive attitude. She loves fashion, and art, and fun, and people. She’s adventurous too.  Nights with her are story-telling worthy. When I look at her, I think she’s the kind of girl musicians write songs about. She’s beautiful. She’s fun. She’s wild and a bit mysterious. She’s a strong girl who likes to […]
